What if...

Don't you ever get to a place in your life when you start reflecting decisions and thinking "why the hell did I do that" and feel like you've wasted so much time doing stupid shit? Man it sux...I was talking to Dan the other night and was like "I was such an idiot" he laughed and said "weren't we all?" LOL! I guess most people take a wrong turn here and there, but I think about where I would be if I had followed the "right" path, but then I think...what is the right path? Really who is to judge which path is right and which one is wrong? All I can say is I am really glad that I found Dan and the life I have now is pretty sweet. I am not rich, I'm not famous....I have a shitload of debt due to schooling that got me no where...! But to look on the brightside, I have super siblings that love me I think ;) parents that can stand me (most of the time) a hubby that has to live with me (whether he likes it or not..lol!) and friends that chose me (that makes me smile)! So whether or not I wasted years of my life I am happy! But don't you ever think....what if?

Why women cry...

A little boy asked his mother, “Why are you crying?” “Because I’m a woman,” she told him. “I don’t understand,” he said. His Mom just hugged him and said, “And you never will.” Later the little boy asked his father, “Why does mother seem to cry for no reason?” “All women cry for no reason,” was all his dad could say. The little boy grew up and became a man, still wondering why women cry. Finally he put in a call to God. When God got on the phone, he asked, “God, why do women cry so easily?” God said, “When I made the woman she had to be special. I made her shoulders strong enough to carry the weight of the world, yet gentle enough to give comfort. I gave her an inner strength to endure childbirth and the rejection that many times comes from her children. I gave her a hardness that allows her to keep going when everyone else gives up, and take care of her family through sickness and fatigue without complaining. I gave her the sensitivity to love her children under any and all circumstances, even when her child has hurt her very badly. I gave her strength to carry her husband through his faults and fashioned her from his rib to protect his heart. I gave her wisdom to know that a good husband never hurts his wife, but sometimes tests her strengths and her resolve to stand beside him unfalteringly. And finally, I gave her a tear to shed. This is hers exclusively to use whenever it is needed.” “You see my son,” said God, “the beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman must be seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart - the place where love resides.”

Country party Havelock Ontario

Havelock is a huge country jamboree that happens every year and thousands of people come from all over to watch bands play on massive stages and party with lots of other camping trailer hitching people. Our friends Morganne and Steve invited us and since she works for the local t.v. station gets free tickets and she picked us as her guests!! This was amazing as tickets can cost over $200 a piece on top of food and booze etc. Thanks Morganne and her family was so nice they fed us the whole weekend.

Reunion 2011

Dad and Jaana host the annual reunion party at their beautiful house in Newburgh...here are some pictures of our fun time there.

Weekend trip to Lyn

Dans dad Alvin threw a big Canada day weekend bash with a pig roasting on a spit and tons of people showed up. We went four wheeling and partied all night. We brought our friends Morganne and Steve and one of the puppies they bought off us Bean and their other dog Phoebe and we brought Oliver, Jazmine and Clemintine (now Domino), so it was busy for us watching 5 dogs but everyone had a great time and the dogs did as well. They were swimming and chasing bugs. We have a trailer up there to stay in which is awesome as we don't have to pack a tent or anything. It was a great night. Morganne actually flipped backwards off her chair into the lake!!! Everyone had a good laugh at her expense but she took it well.

Dog days of summer

We took a family trip to Picton beach this past weekend with Oliver and Jazmine and our last remaining puppy Clemintine (now known as Domino). We played in the water and the sand all day and had a blast. Here are some pictures of our adventure....

Four years

Dan and I just celebrated four years together!!! We went to Aqua Terra same as last year and had an amazing meal and spent some wonderful time together. We talked about how lucky we are to be best friends because we can fight, argue, love and laugh with your best friend and still respect them for who they are and love them unconditionally. We can't wait for another year to fly by (hopefully not to quick) but we wanted to share our happiness with you our family. Happy Anniversary us!!!

Clemintine

We almost lost one of our puppies early this past week. She had an allergic reaction to something and started wheezing. I picked her up and then noticed she was really struggling to take a breath and so called our vet. They said we would have to go to the emergency vet as they were closing up shop. So Dan quickly jumped in his truck with Clemintine and took off leaving me to pack up the other puppies and Oli and Jaz and follow him to the clinic. The second you walk through the vet doors you are charged $200. Within ten minutes our bill was an estimated $980!!! This covered everything they thought they would have to do like the different x-rays they had to take and different medications to put her on as well as oxygen therapy. She didn't look very good so they just kept plugging along and then told us they wanted to run other tests and possibly keep her for awhile none of which is covered in the estimated bill. We said we didn't have that kind of money and didn't know what to do. They said well you can pay or surrender the puppy. (This means let her die on the table). Of course I fell apart and started bawling as this is tough trying to save a life and trying to find the means to do so. Dan and I talked about it and asked if there was a payment option as we didn't have that kind of money and they said yes. Thankfully right after Clemintine started coming around. I went and put my face right up against hers and she opened her eyes and looked at me at licked my nose. I knew she would be ok at this point. We said no more tests just let her breath on her own for awhile to see if she is good. And she was so we were able to take her home and we just have to have children's allergy medicine around just on case she flairs up again. That's the story of our $1000 puppy Clemintine.
