2nd Christmas
We had our 2nd Christmas Dan his mom Jo-Anne Kassy and I on the 23rd evening. I didn't want to make a traditional dinner as we had just had turkey a month ago. So I made Loster, scallopped potatoes and grilled jumbo shrimp for dinner with a scallop apple salad on the side, Dan made appitizers of escargot, shrimp ring and bread dippers and mussels. MMMM....was it ever delicious. We had a full lobster on each plate which was pretty and it tasted so good. We opened up presents and had a fun relaxing time. Loved it.

Christmas
We just had a wonderful time at Dad's and Jaana's place this past weekend. Marieanne and Devin came up from Toronto and Dan Kassy and I were able to spend time with our loving family. It's becoming tradition to go to Dad's gym and take the kids swimming as we've now done that 3 years in a row. Dad and Jaana spoiled us a bit this year, they are very sweet and they made us all feel special, so thank you Dad and Jaana for that. We love you guys and really appreciate everything you did for us. Dinner was amazing and playing Taboo was quite fun as well. Pictures will be posted soon.

Amazing news
We just found out that Dan and I are going to be permanent parents. Our little Kassy is coming to move in with us in January. It is a miracle and we are so excited to have her full time. We are nervous of course because well, I don't have children of my own so having an 11 year old enter our home is going to be a change but a good one. There is lots to be done and we've requested the assistance of our parent friends as to what we need to do to get her registered in school and whatnot. Man, this will change everything for us but most of all the change will be I think a positive one for Kassy. She has so much potential and I can't wait to nurture her talents. Any parenting tips you all can offer I am all ears. Luckily I have lots of experience with being the oldest in a long line of kids so we should be fine.
